Description

Kenneth Bigos is the director of the Affordable Housing Centers of Pennsylvania (AHCOPA) that is affiliated with HUD and the Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency. 

They help consumer purchase their first home, avoid foreclosure and to help them access estate planning services.  In 2025 AHCOPA had approximately 3000 households enter our first-time homebuyer program that resulted in 400 clients achieving home purchase. 

 In his presentation, Ken will talk about the role of the housing counselor to help the client achieve homeownership.  He will also explain the availability of homebuyer grants for first-time homebuyers through the Federal Home Loan Bank of Pittsburgh and the Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency.
